Laura Fichter is a Principal and the Portfolio Manager at Ada Advisors. Laura is responsible for investment strategy and security selection. Laura has three decades of professional experience in engineering, project management and financial services. She worked in research and development for several Fortune 500 companies, developing office products and electronic instrumentation for power measurement, monitoring and recording products. Since receiving an MBA in 1999 from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester, she has worked in the Financial Services Industry. Laura held several research positions for Manning & Napier Advisors in risk management and for both Clover Capital Management and Federated Clover Investment Advisors (a subsidiary of Federated Investors) where she was responsible for the development of proprietary stock alpha sector models and portfolio risk assessment and optimization. In addition to an MBA, Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology where she became a member of the engineering honors society Tau Beta Phi and the electrical engineering honors society Eta Kappa Nu. Laura is a member of the Rochester Angel Network, an affiliate member of the CFA Institute, a member of the CFA Society of Rochester Board and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
